Here’s a story I’ve told before, but this time in video, on the best commissioning I ever received as an insult. Enjoy!
Why I’m Not a Reality TV Star (VIDEO)
About the Author: Esther
Seven years ago, I quit my job and went off the Internet. It changed me. I'm still a kitchen-phobe with a long history of bulimia and anxiety, but now I tend a garden and make jam and make noodles from scratch. I still have needs and fears like anybody else, but I also have a practice of eating mystery, which is that I actually, truly, for REAL expect to be sustained by faith. And in the last three years our family has made a BIG move out of our comfort zone...into a more sustainable lifestyle and an off-grid yurt. Leap and the net will appear!
What a neat story. I would think that anyone that does a TEDx talk would be way to intellectual for TV. You guys are rock stars just the way you are. As for the date at the end of the dash — you will never have one, your legacy will live on forever and you will always be in our hearts.
Much love and prayer
That Grumpy old man from Minnesota…
Too deep for TV – I would take that as a high compliment! Thank goodness for Youtube, then, as a place where you can share your story and do it on your terms. Thanks so much!
Ha! That was a fun story! Too deep for tv: your actual reality is too authentic to be termed “reality” in television. Hilarious! And maybe a little disappointing for those who value thoughtful entertainment, but we have your youtube channel so it’s all good! I appreciate Sadie’s sage advice as well. She’s got her priorities straight. 😀
