Today’s Thursday story is in debt to Shannon Hayes, author of Radical Homemakers: Reclaiming Domesticity From a Consumer Culture. I don’t use the term “radical homemaker” as much as I used to, but I still appreciate the words in particular and all of Shannon Hayes’ work in general. I’ve written about this once before right here.

Also, I want to let you all know that I have created a Patreon page, to make an easy way for those who want to financially support my work and my family’s work (these blogs and the videos on both channels). I wouldn’t think of this as any major change in my values. I’ve always accepted donations, since that first winter that I started my blog and my dear friend Diane sent me a 20 dollar bill in the mail to express her appreciation…and because she knew I needed it.
